Create Your Own Herb Garden 🌱

Join us on Saturday, April 11 from 12–4 PM for a fun drop-in Herb Planting Class at the greenhouse!
Stop by anytime during the event to create your own custom herb planter. We’ll have a large selection of herbs to choose from along with cute pots perfect for herb planting so you can design something beautiful and useful for your kitchen or patio.
Whether you’re new to growing herbs or already love gardening, this is a simple and fun way to put together a fresh herb planter to take home.
This event is happening during the Black Sheep Weavers Fiber & Flowers Sale, so while you’re here you can also browse and shop their wonderful handmade fiber items.
Bring a friend and enjoy an afternoon of plants, creativity, and local handmade goods!
No need to register, just stop by!

🌸🎨 Kids Paint & Plant Party! 🍓🌼
Join us for a fun, hands-on event just for kids! Little gardeners will get creative painting their very own flower pot, then plant it up with a sweet strawberry plant to take home and watch grow.

Black Sheep Weavers Fiber Sale

Sunday, April 12 between 11am-3pm
The Black Sheep Weavers Fiber Guild artists are known across southeast Michigan for creating original fiber art of exceptional quality. Our members' work is often featured in art venues around the state.
Our passion for creating fiber is expressed through a broad range of forms, including: spinning, weaving, knit and crochet, felting, rug hooking, basket weaving, fiber jewelry, needlework, fabric manipulation through surface design, dyeing and art quilting.
Twice a year we invite the public to our Fiber Arts Sales, where we offer for purchase one-of-a-kind pieces to wear or display. At these sales, visitors will find lovely apparel and decorative items, perfect for gifting (or keeping)!

Container Gardening Workshop: The Basics
Saturday, April 18th at 11am
Patty Watkins will focus on the basics and not-so-basic ideas of container gardening during this class. She will discuss water needs, light requirements, design, and plant choice to help you create the best container garden. New 2026 varieties will be introduced.
Create your own container garden after the class. You are welcome to bring in your own containers to plant (no heavy containers or “treasures”). You can store finished containers in the greenhouse until the weather warms up.
Registration not required and no charge for the class.

Container Gardening Workshop: Pollinators
Sunday, April 19th at 1pm
Join us for a hands-on container gardening event designed to bring your patio, porch, or balcony to life — and support our essential pollinators at the same time!
Whether you’re a beginner gardener or a seasoned plant lover, this interactive workshop will guide you through creating a beautiful, thriving container garden filled with pollinator-friendly plants.

🌼 Container planting: Pay only for the container, plants, and materials you select. As always, feel free to bring materials or pots from home.
After the discussion, you will have an opportunity to create your own pollinator friendly container. We will allow you to store finished containers in the greenhouse until the weather warms up.

Open Planting for Spring Planters
Saturday, April 25th from 11-3pm
&
Sunday, April 26th from 11-3pm
Join us for an open container garden planting session!
Flowers, herbs, succulents, containers, soil, and expert advice will be available to help you create your own beautiful container garden. Stop by anytime between 11:00 AM and 3:00 to plant your containers at your own pace.
This is a casual, drop-in event with no formal presentation or group instruction, but our team will be on hand to answer questions, offer guidance, and provide inspiration while you plant.
Feel free to bring your pots from home or purchase from our selection. You only pay for what you use in your container. You will also have the option to keep your container here at the greenhouse until the weather warms up.
